Unit 4: Exercise – Implement access management for apps

Part 1: Create an Azure account and enable Microsoft Entra ID Premium P2

Go to the Azure free subscription portal.

Scroll through the page and review available services.

Select Start free.

Complete the signup wizard for an Azure trial subscription.

In the Azure portal, search for and select Microsoft Entra ID.

In the left navigation, select Getting started.

Select Get a free trial for Microsoft Entra ID Premium.

Under Microsoft Entra ID Premium P2, select Free trial.

Select Activate.

Go to Overview and refresh until P2 appears.

Sign out and sign back in if features do not appear.

Part 2: Add an enterprise application

Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center using a Global Administrator account.

Open the portal menu and select Identity.

Under Applications, select Enterprise applications.

Select + New application.

In the gallery search box, enter GitHub.

Select GitHub Enterprise Cloud – Enterprise Account.

Review the app details and select Create.

Confirm you are redirected to the app’s Overview page.

Part 3: Assign users to the app

On the app’s Overview page, select Assign users and groups.

Select + Add user/group.

Select Users and groups.

Choose your administrator account.

Select Select.

Select Assign.
